Cellular Solution recently leant its support to NE Dance Live, the region’s popular dance show, which is famous for showcasing the talent of children from local dance schools and groups.

The event saw 170 children take to the stage to compete and showcase their talent over two days, 23rd – 24th September at Heworth Comprehensive School. Judges at the event included Craig Wharmby, a freelance dancer who featured as a guest choreographer in the reality television series, Dance Mums. Lukas McFarlane – famous for assisting on productions such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in both the USA and Canada as well as being assistant creative director on The X Factor – was also part of the judging panel.

Cellular Solutions was one of the main sponsors of the event and our members of staff, and their friends and family, also ran a successful food and beverage stand at NE Dance Live, with all money raised going towards local dancer Sophie Apedaile, who is travelling to South Africa to undertake charity work in villages. The event also received a generous donation from Lianne McEvoy, the organiser.

Mike Bowers, managing director of Cellular Solutions said: “NE Dance Live was a great success and we’re very pleased that our sponsorship and support at the event will help to contribute towards a fantastic cause.

“Sophie has a real passion to make a difference through her charity work and all of the team are proud of her for embarking on such an incredible journey.”
