Gary Butler, software specialist at Cellular Solutions answers some frequently asked questions about Sage 200cloud and Sage 50cloud.

Sage 200cloud

Q: Can I make the font size bigger so I can see Sage 200 clearer?

A: If you change the font size in your Windows settings, Sage 200 will tell you on opening that it is not supported – it will distort how the programs forms are displayed on the screen.

Q: What is the Spooler?

A: The spooler is an area that stores reports or prints of Invoice, statements, remittances and the like to be reprinted as many times as you need.  It is designed for short to medium term uses, but can save time re-running reports, or reprinting layouts.

Q: Can I produce a Product List by Location?

A: Yes, in Products > Reports > Product details is a report called ‘Product List (by Location)’

Q: How do I flag a customer invoice as being in dispute?

A: Within Customers, click Dispute then choose the Customer in question – select the transaction to mark as disputed then click Dispute and select a Reason Code.

Q: What are the Special product codes, M, S1, S2 and S3?

A: M – Use this to enter a message line on your invoice or order.

S1 – Use this to enter a one-off special product item where the standard VAT rate applies.

S2 – Use this to enter a one-off special product item where VAT is zero rated.

S3 – Use this to enter a one-off service item where the standard VAT rate applies.
