Act now if you’re using Act! software

Swiftpage – the developer behind Act! software – has been informed that the embedded third party software component of Act! which aids the licensing service is being discontinued by its manufacturer at the end of this year.

If you are an Act! user, you should have had an email from Swiftpage informing you of this change.

So what does this change mean if you are using Act! software?

If you don’t take action, from January 1, 2019, you may not be able to access your database. Plus, Act! may fail if you undertake common actions which interact with the licensing component.

These include installing Act! on new hardware, modifying your Act! user account, re-activating Act! on existing machines, automatically verifying subscriber status and modifying existing hardware.

So what’s the solution?

For users of Act! versions 17 and earlier

As these versions are retired versions of Act! software, no upgrades or enhancements are available. Contact us about upgrading to the latest version of Act!

For Act! v18.x users…

Swiftpage is making a one time update available to all Act! v18.x customers to address the problem. However, Swiftpage will not guarantee how long the functionality you accustomed to in Act! will carry on being made available after this update. If you want to consider upgrading to the latest version of Act!, contact our experts today.

Swiftpage support runs out at the end of November for v18.x. Cellular Solutions will continue to support our customers as long as a current support contract is in place.

For Act1! v20.1, v20.0 and v19.2 users…
