With the release of Sage CRM 2019 R1, Sage has improved its user password security to use a secure bcrypt algorithm.
Sage CRM will basically hash the data, which converts the password to a unique string as a one-way method – which means the encryption cannot be reversed.
This is a much more secure way of protecting your data. And when the user logs in, it does the same operation of bcrypt, hashing the password to ensure it is identical.
In Sage CRM 2019 R1, system administrators can change the password hash strength using a new Use Dynamic Password Hash Cost field in: Administration > Users > User Configuration.
