In this Ask the Expert guide, our software specialist, Gary Butler, reviews the latest features and updates to Sage 200cloud which were added as part of the Summer 2018 update, which was released in September.
Along with the usual bug fixes, there are some new features within this updated version of Sage 200cloud:
Making Tax Digital ready
Similar to the Spring 2018 release, this version is Making Tax Digital for VAT ready, ahead of this coming into effect in April 2019
| Payments integration This offers new support for more payment providers and includes the ability to receive payments via Go Cardless and Stripe, along with Paypal. |

| Enhancements to Sales Order Processing (SOP) This offers the ability to have Cross selling items (items that usually are ordered at the same time as an item – e.g. a remote control cross sell item would be a pack of batteries), frequently ordered items for a customer and preferred items. |

| Document capture This provides the ability to scan documents or add files to purchase invoices or credit notes. |
 |
| Skype integration This allows users to message or call contacts through the customer or supplier accounts via Skype. |
 |
| Spooler improvements The updated version of Sage 200cloud sees spooler speed improved and the ability to fully sort and filter the list. |
 |
| Customer alerts You can now set up one or many alerts for customers that can display on multiple screens when the customer is selected. |
 |
| Google Map integration Within customers or suppliers accounts, you can view the company or delivery addresses via Google Maps |
 |
We feel that these are some fantastic and very helpful new features. Coupled with a bug fix where you can now sort your Bank Reconciliation screens, this is shaping up to be an excellent release!
